The Gladiator

Two Handed Swords are a brawler type of weapon
that mainly focuses on damage, but can still take some hits.



Our Offense
• Best in melee for full versatility
• Very few ranged DPS abilities
• Master of Physical AoEs

Our Defense
• 30% Resistance(45% Resistance with Garde Blade)
• 100+ Guard Power with Heavy Armor
• 20% Damage Reduction with Gladiate active

Our Cons
You have to be creative with how you use your skills.
It's actually similar to Magic Device in that your best DPS skill changes based on the situation.
Each skill we have is made with a specific strength in mind.

One Handed Sword
• Better Overall Versatility
• Higher Guard Power(Shield & Heavy Armor)
• More Evasion(DS, Dagger, MD Sub)
• More Reliable CCs

- While it can use Blade Skills for DPS, it can't get full it's full potential out of it.
For more offense or defense, it has to use other skill trees.

Recommended Stats

STR-VIT
Gives good attack along with allowing you take hits.
However, you'll need Stability from your gear,
due to Berserk & grazing with your attacks.
Dark Power & some Blade Skills scale with these two stats.

STR-DEX
Maximizes attack, gives 25.5% Stability, & adds a bit of accuracy.
Oh, it also lets you use a certain skill people STILL are hating on from range twice with 20 stacks.
However you'll need survivability from gear, or skills. Alternately, just equip Light Armor.

Recommended Gear

Gear
Please refine your gear.
Not just your weapons, but also your armor & additional gear.
This is what lets you walk the line between being squishy or tanky.

With +S Armor & Additional Gear, it gives 30% Resistance to all types of attacks, including Fractional Damage.
With Garde Blade active, along with your THS getting more attack with more refinements, it'll also gain the same bonus as a refined shield.
This is along with its 10% Physical/Magical Resistance.

If you have VIT or more HP from gear/skills/etc, then it further boosts your survivability.

Because of this, this means you should be able to focus more on offensive stats with your gear.

Recommended Skill Trees

Blade Skills
Our main skill tree.
While OHS & THS can use it, we get more offensive bonuses.
Additionally we have skills exclusive only to us.

Dark Power Skills
This give both more survivability & DPS Options.
These skills require you to manage your HP carefully.
But in exchange, it
Most Skills also scale with STR & VIT.

Magic Blade Skills
This skill tree is barely usable.
We can only access 4 Skills in total.
Ironically, it's also the closest to being a Magic Swordsman due to the same limitations.

Conversion allows us to gain flat Matk that scales with your WeaponATK.


Enchant Sword gives us an attack with increased Critical Rate & scales with STR & INT.

Enchanted Burst is a Magical Attack that scales with either ATK or MATK, depending on what's higher.
It's charged by spamming Enchant Sword.

Finally, Union Sword gives a frontal AoE & uses both your Attack AND your Magic Attack for damage.

Mononofu Skills
As Two Handed Swords can't equip subweapons,
we can get small bonuses from the skill tree passives.
