Need your advice

So here is the issue I'm facing right now:

I just noticed that whenever I start a combo with a buff skill, like Kairiki Ranshin or War Cry, the following skills in the combo don't activate at all.

For Example: Let's say my combo is Kairiki Ranshin - Crossfire (smite)

My character is set on fire as soon as I press the shortcut button for this combo, but the main attacking skill, Crossfire, doesn't activate, no matter how many times I try this combo in different situations.

Seeing that everyone is able to use combos with Buff skills as the 'starter', I simply don't get why such a thing is happening only in my case.

What could be the issue? Any ideas you have got?

Edit: FYI, I made sure that all the combos I'm using were 'on'.

 

Oh, so the Buff combos don't work before generating aggro? That was enlightening.

As mentioned above me you have to attack before doing the buff combo. If I try doing Sneak>Impact>Finale>closer combo without attacking first I just cast Sneak Attack then nothing happens.

 

You need to engage with an attack, if you're not actively attacking a target. Otherwise only the buff will trigger.

Same thing happens with reflex, if I attempt to opens up with that combo.

If this is not the case, then I have no idea.
