Btw how about u make 2S easy weapon like rod n stuff it with dex 2 n dex 1 xta?

 

Wonder if it is worth spending a point on the 'Dual Wield' tree just to get a player crafted sword in the secondary weapon slot?

Yeah, that's a good idea. But as of now 1 dex doesn't do much, because we need 6 dexterity to increase difficulty by 1. This is worth testing when the dex+3 is release.

 

I'm not sure, but i read somewhere that only attack, element and stability works for sword used as offhand. Same with xtals no effect.

 

Yes i noted from my post that you can add more tech if you want a higher success rate. I just recommended 7 tech because as the title says... most potential.

plus with the equipment i recommended that adds 30 dexterity (5 difficulty) plus 7 tech (3 difficulty), its like i'm having 17 tech (+8 difficulty). success rate is all about the difficulty not tech specifically.

Good catch. You're right, I totally forgot about that (I have two dual wielders too, duh)!

 

well to tell you the truth, i'm not yet actively crafting equipment right now because of all the blacksmith characters i have (see my signature). i'm still in the process of raising my proficiency. but with the dexterity stats i have (196) i'm sure i can get +19 potential just from the base stat + the bonus i can get from careful creation skill. so maybe base potential of bowgun+20/21, you usually get 1 less potential when you crafted a slotted one.

 

Yes But dex equip only helps good for dex blacksmith. if you have 30 dex total it would add 3 pot too i think..

i want to say that if you have equipment that gives you 10vit it would add +1 pot too for armor bs but i dont Realy know cause Without any equip i made 37pot with plate armor and with vit equip i get 39pot max.. i have to check it again^^

 

Please note that equipping items with dexterity stats increases your difficulty level but it won’t increase the potential you can get from “creating equipment”

Same with other stats, stats gain by equipping items doesn't increase the potential you can get from the skill "create equipment"

Is there anything at all that can go in the secondary weapon slot that boost DEX at all (shield/dagger/arrow)?
My main smith is a bowsmith, so hopefully I can boost stats with an arrow, going to try tonight I think.

Also, for the player crafted items (main weapon and armor), should we craft the higher difficulty items since they have more base potential?
I'm assuming yes, but wanted to see what your thoughts were.

Just want to squeeze every ounce of extra help into my BS as possible since I'm so tired of that broken anvil graphic!

None at the moment.

Most of the time, the newly released recipes for crafting have the highest def, atk and potential.. surely the items with most def, atk and pot have the highest demand in the market. As a blacksmith you need to follow what is on demand on the market, otherwise you'll have a hard time selling your items.

Increase your difficulty by raising your proficiency. The higher your difficulty the higher your success rate. But still, most of the time you will have a broken anvil.

 

I was actually just trying to figure out the best way to make my own +DEX gear to wear for crafting purposes. I'm not going to be selling anything yet, 8^).

I tried doing some test gear, so I think I answered my question regarding potential. It looks like I can get by with using midlevel gear and have enough to add +6 DEX. I was also able to add +DEX% to the same gear (I think it was 2%?). I didn't get a chance to finish my crafting set, but I'm hoping this trick helps me out, 8^).

I think my proficiency is at 40 on my bowsmith (plus the boosts from DEX and anvils), probably need to get that higher. Been spending my time trying to level up characters so haven't had time to work on blacksmith proficiency, 8^(.

Well i too had BS Dex,the point is used the information make u clear about difficult lev ( so if u just start your BS its very usefull for U,but not really for BS Dex with 50++ prov lev,perhaps yes in future ) but still this is Great information, well done mate
